A forestry mulcher is a heavy‑duty land‑clearing machine designed to grind trees, brush, stumps, and vegetation into mulch directly on site. Unlike traditional cutting or hauling methods, it processes organic material where it stands, reducing debris volume and eliminating the need for separate chipping or removal steps.

How It Works

The mulcher is equipped with a high‑speed rotor fitted with carbide‑tipped or forged steel teeth/mulching hammers. As the machine moves forward, these tools shred woody material against a fixed anvil or counter comb, producing fine mulch spread evenly across the cleared area. Power is typically supplied by a dedicated hydraulic system on carriers such as excavators, skid steers, tractors, or purpose‑built forestry machines.
